A house for couples who have completely renovated a room in a condominium in Tokyo as a skeleton. Art is a part of our daily lives, and we proceeded with the design based on the concept of "metabolism" from the lifestyle of the owner who desires a lifestyle that changes every day. As a symbol of that idea, in the center of this dwelling, there was no furniture and a room called a "gallery" for decorating art. By placing this "gallery" in the center, I tried a design that leaves room for change in a house that tends to be fixed. Here, instead of decorating the finished space with art, the art work was taken as the finish of the interior. In other words, what is the base and what is the finish? As a result of noticing the ambiguity and thinking about furniture, interior decoration, architecture, and the actions taken there, the opening came to a design that reveals the thickness required for the wall.
