With a gross floor area of roughly 40,000 square meters, the hotel features 177 rooms. It overlooks the azure Lingshan Bay from the center of the newly-developed movie industry park in the West Coast New Area of Qingdao. The hotel takes a European-style exterior decorated extensively with arches. The interior design also uses arches and combines them with bold, expressive streamlined shapes to create a completely new visual experience. The hotel’s color scheme is an ocean-inspired palette of white and blue, simple and airy.
Lobby design is a highlight: the ceiling features a creative integration of chandelier and glass dome, two opposite walls show respectively an exquisite jade carving and a glass conch pattern, and the background lighting can be programed for particular events. The Chinese restaurant has dark tone wooden grilles decorated with five types of lattice patterns, a traditional Chinese element that gives the space more variety and details. In keeping with the exterior, the specialty restaurant is designed with three pairs of arches decorated exquisitely with brushed bronze, connected to a ceiling richly layered with metal grilles.
