The project is located in Shanghai Blackstone M+ Park, which is the famous music triangle in Shanghai, with Shanghai Conservatory of Music, Shanghai Symphony Orchestra, Shanghai Symphony Museum, etc. M can be Music, Moment, Modern, Magic... and the "+" representing infinite possibilities and multi-dimensional perspectives gives this place a more three-dimensional appearance.
Blackstone M+ Hotel is the central project of this park. The designer Huang Quan renovated this century-old building in the style of Art Deco, recreating the gorgeous style of old Shanghai. Precious tiles and architectural structures have been preserved. The retro interior and modern design are combined to create a strong appeal.
The top of the lobby is integrated into the arched volume, presenting the old Shanghai Shikumen building in an abstract form. The front hall is hung with the artist Yan Lei's "Color Wheel", attracting residents to step into the mysterious interior space.
In the guest room, the designer uses dark green, navy blue, wine red, gilt and other bold colors and rich material expression to express the artistic sense of Art Deco and the exquisiteness of Shanghai culture.
