Renovation of private members club full service, 4,200sf restaurant to increase member engagement. The room was to be gently animated, modern, and friendly for all.
Inspired by the mid-century building architecture and ‘80’s era blonde interiors, the South and west glazing was given a counterpoint of dark wood panels; balancing a fresh ambience with depth. The central fireplace draws diners to the flame.
Wine walls, pivoting wood/mirror panels, and materiality changes, subtly divide the space to create intimacy and sense of place. The new central bar location acts as the heart.
The original open sundeck was adapted to be four-season. Operable glass walls open for summer breezes while heated floors add comfort for Canadian winters. A two-sided fireplace between the custom-furnished patio and dining room is an evocative connection.
Materiality reflects the seaside locale. White oak, buff leather, pale lilac grey, and white stone are contrasted with smoked wood tones. The carpet is a stylized water pattern. Rounded furnishings balance geometric wall articulation for a space that is equally masculine and feminine.
Project success has lead to begin further facility F&B renovations.
