The 100 year old Italian Pasticceria brand plans their first business expansion outside of Italy. With the main dining space suspended in the atrium within one of the top scale shopping mall complex in Hong Kong, the design took inspiration from Italian architecture and streetscape, intended to create a high end, open air and photogenic restaurant. The challenge was for the design to integrate naturally with the mall’s richly decorated interior, while a strong brand presence can be identified visually. Key features include the bespoke design and manufacture of the purple marble patterns fibre-glass wall deco panels, bringing an instantly memorable identity. Precisely formed electroplated steel structures brings reference to majestic Italian cathedrals interiors. Custom designed vintage looking lamp fixtures carries the sense of romanticism within the spaces, delightful to the eye and through the lenses of the camera.
