Sited along the historic New River, The Huizenga Pavilion, a new addition to the established Broward Center for the Performing Arts, offers beautiful waterfront views.
The elegant, 3,500 SF Ballroom on the second level has become a sought-after destination for receptions, corporate events, and other special occasions. Floor to ceiling operable windows take full advantage of the surrounding waterfront landscape. The design is simple and color palette neutral, to not compete with the beautiful riverfront views and surrounding landscapes.
Below the Ballroom is the Bistro, designed with completely retractable storefront windows. Seating and service extend into the adjacent hillside, complete with a small amphitheater. The interior décor includes natural materials with pops of colors drawn from local flora and tropical waters. Floor tiles, wallcoverings and fabrics bring sophisticated textures to the space. Furniture is contemporary and stylish.
The fully accessible, LEED Silver Certified Pavilion fulfills the design goal of rejuvenating the Broward Center’s theaters, guest amenities and public spaces and becoming a must-visit destination for the local community and beyond.
