Settling in the Sonoran Desert is an incredible experience. With beautiful saguaro cacti, mountains and sunsets, the region provides plenty of inspiration. This home, nestled in the exclusive Foothills area of Tucson, AZ, already had a dreamlike setting, but the design left much to be desired. The clients trusted our team with a complete refurbishment of the existing home, from updated furnishings to modern finishes. Arguably the most impactful space of any home, creating a grand yet inviting great room was critical to ensure our Chicago native clients could enjoy winters in their desert home. This involved imagining a space which was both contemporary and warm, with a desert-inspired color palette & natural finishes. A custom fireplace blends metal and tile, anchoring the room and setting the tone for a serene space while large windows showcase stunning views of The Catalina Mountains. Wood shelves with lighting provide a perfect place to display the clients' extensive art collection. This adds interest, but also serves as a reminder of their late sister who created many of the pieces. Finally, plush custom furnishings complete the space, adding both comfort & sophistication.
