Leon is a daringly fun speakeasy-inspired bar just off the main lobby of the EDITION hotel. It’s an exciting juxtaposition to the rest of the hotel with its provocative and punchy blocks of colour against a dark background. It’s the hidden gem of the iconic hotel and boasts a mysterious yet exclusive vibe. The brief was to create a punch bar with a blend of urban appeal and a nostalgic atmosphere that reflects Dubai’s never-ending energy. The secretive bar seats 50 people and provides clandestine allure as guests enter Leon through a dark timber door. The bar is cloaked with a blue banquette and bright pink bar stools. Mesh-fronted vintage cabinets discreetly house a collection of rare liquors adding a sense of mystery.
Gold settees, high-backed wing chairs and cozy bucket seats form private clusters. The central DJ booth keeps sound levels perfect for covert meetings and private parties.
Leon is satisfyingly magical, unexpected and exudes lively energy. The ambiance is dark and moody, with clever lighting that enhances the vibrant colors used throughout the space.
