KJ Villa is an elegant family home on Palm Jumeirah. It is conceived to maximise the potential of its sought-after location whilst providing a contemporary family environment and fluid living space.
Tasked to create an inspirational luxury family Villa on Palm Jumeirah that can cater for comfortable day-to-day living and family and extended family gatherings. The design included a seamless transition between indoor and outdoor living and a connection to the shores of the Arabian Gulf. The inside of the house was to provide a private office and entertainment spaces for the owner with break-out and music spaces for the younger family members.
The Concept was to achieve something intriguing yet classic in design. The design team played with volumes and materials; the idea was to establish a sense of curiosity whilst creating a refined and elegant building. The client was very involved in the design process, which made for a very collaborative process and accomplished home.
The careful selection of materials reinforces the seamless nature of the house. Cool white travertine floors, white oak timber and white walls accommodate the family's extensive artwork collections.
