Imagine a residential sanctuary encapsulated within "Concrete Cubicles," as the owners whimsically called their new abode. The very design promises a balance between enclosure and openness, common activity and personal privacy. A multifunctional space uses lighting to choreograph the room's ambiance, the space can seamlessly transform into a room for yoga or simply an extended living room. In the master bedroom, the wardrobe design deploys a tensioned roll-up curtain that allows for air circulation to counter Taiwan's high humidity climate without sacrificing aesthetic appeal, and the steel blue sliding door adds a dash of the avant-garde.

Inspired by the Taiwanese culinary culture, delicacies like dried small fish and wine-cooked chicken become integral to the design, adding layers of authenticity and intimacy. Plane tree wood similar to Chinese pickle in color exudes an organic warmth, and brushed steel and antiqued marble surfaces play with light and shadow in the space. Sharp angles and excessive decorations are avoided in favor of clean lines and the interplay of solid and void.
