Beijing Chunhuiyuan Hot Spring Revitalization
The architects were asked to revitalize a hot spring spa operation to attract younger customers. The design of a 4000 sqm addition to the 6000 sqm of existing buildings will house a series of attractions to create a fun spa experience. A saltwater river meanders through the main space, where customers slowly float along the path of water. In close collaboration with the client, the architects developed a unique mix of programs, including a Sauna, a salt mount area, a sand room, a floating pool with conical deepwater holes, a kids' play pool, a water jet play area, two restaurants, and an arcade. Beijing Chunhuiyuan Hot Spring Spa will re-open at the end of 2025.
