The project location lies in proximity to the majestic Chao Phraya River. This exquisite room, nearly three decades old.
Design Concept: Our design concept draws inspiration from the traditional Thai house known as "Ruean Kanom Pang Khing," which is known for its unique design character. We have used this traditional design as a foundation, while modernizing the details and incorporating the principles of natural ventilation to create a space that conserves energy while showcasing the beauty of Thai architecture.
Design Limitation: The low floor-to-floor height of the 30-year-old building and outdated system presented a challenge, requiring us to replace the entire system to achieve maximum ceiling height and increase the number of windows. Despite these limitations, we have created a space that is both functional and visual stunning.
The challenge we faced was to create a natural ventilation system that maintains privacy for the room’s owner without having to open the door. Additionally, we had to raise the ceiling height to create a sense of spaciousness without making the room feel cramped. These design elements were crucial in achieving the desired result for our client.
