The project mission was to curate a holistic and authentic experience for the guests of Gurney’s Montauk Seawater Spa & Bathhouse, a luxury resort perched overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, a transformation resulting in a space with timeless allure. The design team reimagined the resort with an emphasis on health, wellness, and overall relaxation. This $20 million renovation, spanning the course of two years, was executed with precision and masterful artistry.
Inspired by the resort’s oceanfront charm, the spa’s design was crafted to evoke a serene, calming effect, specifically curated to lower the heart rates of its guests. Every element was selected to achieve a seamless blend of clean lines, exquisite wood finishes, and natural fabrics. This harmony created an environment in which the outdoors merges with the indoors, inviting in the serenity of the oceanfront.
