The project for the San Ginés Chocolatería franchise in Mexico City focused on adapting the Spanish business to a contemporary and local Mexican context.
The facade features a lattice made of concrete pieces integrated with a green wall, allowing light to enter the terrace with a wooden pergola while isolating it from the urban context. This design controls the views from the interior to the exterior and vice versa.
Inside, the presence of an old arrayán tree is respected, integrating it into the covered terrace, accompanied by two laurels placed by the design team.
The adaptation of colors and textures was achieved by reinterpreting the primary color and designing a special floor. The central wooden bar adds a nostalgic touch with antique accessories.
The lighting design includes exposed cable lines with circular concrete fixtures. Wall sconces, designed by the team, incorporate the chocolatería's logo.
The space blends classic elements with contemporary design, adapting the foreign concept to the Mexican market and setting a standard for future stores in Mexico.
