A three-bedroom luxury villa in the historical town of Spello (Umbria / Ialy), as a result of an intimate and delicate restoration of old ruins... a home away from home.
The "Barbanera Casa Giardino" (Blackbeard Garden House) is nestled amid old town walls and offers incredible views on the valley and hills below, in the heart of rural Umbria.
Inside, the villa is fresh and contemporary, furnished with pieces from around the world. Attention to detail and an eclectic mix of styles give the villa a character and warmth rarely found in a holiday home.
The spectacular garden offers the ideal setting to relax: a lawn with inviting loungers and vintage furniture, the shade of the trees, and a small natural stone swimming pool.
The House is built from locally quarried pink-tinted Subasio stone and neutral tones new materials, in contrast with simple contemporary pieces, antiques and colorful pieces sourced from owner's world travels, combining saturated reds of Morocco, deep blue of the Aeolian islands or yellow furnishes and decoration for items found in Laos, Cambodia and Burma.
A spacial place in which is palpable the sense of history paired with fresh contemporary style.
