TIMES CITY Experience Center in Haikou truly captures the essence of comfortable living. Creating a sunken community space, it caters to people’s longing for vacations, allowing residents to enjoy the relaxation of a holiday in their daily lives.
Inspired by Hainan’s traditional houses, the design emphasizes a hierarchical progression from public to private spaces. The layout transitions smoothly from the outer corridor to the foyer, incorporating traditional elements of local architecture to create a space that is both ceremonial and symmetrical. Warm natural wood tones, complemented by light green accents, cultivate a soothing, nature-inspired atmosphere. Vertical grilles add depth and a sense of grandeur to the space.
Descending from the inner courtyard’s sightseeing hall to the club space on the basement, the transition from open to private spaces is seamless. This shift from expansive layout to a more intimate setting creates a cohesive and inclusive environment for future community residents. The club’s leisure area features a bar crafted from translucent stone, which shimmers like seashells in the sun, casting a warm and mysterious glow.
