The soft curves of her large brimmed hat moved ever so slightly in the breeze. The interlocking weave cast elongated shadows on her cheeks, molding themselves softly to the contour of her freckled, lightly salted skin. The dappled shade cooled the sand as she buried her feet slightly beneath it. The sun was nurturing, the hat protective, the scattered light soothing. She was present.
The project involved designing a new bar, a new kitchen, dining and lounge area around an existing pool. Extremely challenging to conceal a full kitchen and associated back of house areas in the middle of a pool deck. The concept was derived from the relationship a woman has with a large brimmed floppy hat while sitting pensively at the beach.

We believe Landscape, Art and Architecture are meant to establish dialogues that are not only visual, tactile, and generally sensorial, but also inextricably emotional. We aim to blur the conventional margins denoting interior and exterior spaces, to embrace literal and theoretical thresholds and apply them in a fluidly cinematic experience.
