Daisy Margarita Bar delivers an elevated Mexican cantina experience to LA's Sherman Oaks neighborhood. With the traditional vaquero as a beacon of inspiration, mixed textures and layered colors were woven in to create a rustic Mexican tavern experience that's equally glamorous and lowbrow. Oil painted portraits, taxidermy, neon signage and other vintage finds, each hand-selected by Proprietor Matt Egan and sourced predominantly from Mexico, fill the dimly lit space. A custom-built jukebox serves as a focal point, accented by fringe, leather and interior wood paneling characteristic of a dive bar setting. Upcycled elements from the former tenant including the existing wood, tables and booth were retrofitted to align with the space's new vision. A bold color palette of vibrant greens and yellows was applied, balanced by the building's previous hacienda detailing and terra cotta accents.
