Juksunchae is an intimate Korean fine dining restaurant offering a warm atmosphere and meticulously crafted cuisine. With only 14 seats and an open kitchen, guests can observe the chefs’ craft up close—an essential part of the experience.
The design draws inspiration from hanok houses, where the back of the home is used for fermentation and cooking. This is reflected in the textured walls reminiscent of rough exteriors and a ceiling with exposed wooden beams that evoke a traditional kitchen.
A key feature is the full-wall shelving of fermented ingredients, honoring Korea’s culinary heritage. Opposite, glossy purple tones and graphic chairs introduce a modern contrast, adding vibrancy to the space. Above the kitchen, custom gable-shaped lighting nods to Korean architecture while focusing attention on the chefs.
At the heart is the open kitchen, designed for clarity and seamless workflow, embodying the belief that every detail matters. From the moment guests step inside, the space feels both warm and refined—crafted to draw focus toward the food, where cuisine takes center stage.
