Lotus Hot Spring Hotel Phase I is a well-known natural hot spring hotel in Taishun, Wenzhou, China. This project serves as the new Phase II, located on the eastern hillside adjacent to the existing hotel. The overall layout adopts terraces to shape the mountain terrain, creating layered outdoor spaces and staggered building forms.
Given the mature Phase I hot spring and west-facing canyon views, guest rooms face west to link visually and functionally with Phase I. The lobby, banquet hall, and other public functions are located to the north, linked by landscaped courtyards, with a small L-shaped budget hotel on the northeast.
The design employs rough stone, board-formed concrete, and wood accents, blending naturally with mountains. The composition of multiple elongated volumes with sloped roofs enhances the massing and integrates gracefully with the sloping terrain. The chosen materials—stone and concrete—are durable and timeless, minimizing facade maintenance.
At the entrance, a low and horizontally extended volume offers a modest yet refined presence leading into tranquil inner courtyards.
