Calya Provenza is the international debut of our studio, a boutique hospitality project rooted in Medellín’s Provenza district—one of the city’s most vibrant cultural corridors. Designed as a sanctuary of stillness within the urban fabric, Calya embodies intentional living through rhythm, care, & connection.
Inspired by Cattleya trianae, Colombia’s national orchid, the building’s vertical composition mirrors the flower’s form—roots, stem, leaves, petals—creating a botanical narrative expressed through light & flow. Its six suites feature full kitchens, laundry, & workspace for extended stays, while open areas encourage both privacy and connection.
Locally sourced stone, wood, & handwoven textiles express Colombian materiality & identity. Tactile finishes, layered lighting, & a muted palette shape an atmosphere that feels grounded yet elevated, offering a slow, restorative experience rooted in place & guided by intentionality.
Calya reflects a hospitality approach that is deeply rooted in place & thoughtfully attuned to people. It celebrates Colombia’s cultural richness, supports local makers, & offers guests a slow, immersive experience designed to restore clarity, connection.
