As part of the modernisation of BAT Germany’s Hamburg headquarters, the former canteen was transformed into the versatile club restaurant "Seven" on the seventh floor – with a roof terrace and a view of the Außenalster.
The goal was to create a space that meets the diverse needs of around 350 employees and goes far beyond the classic canteen concept. "Seven" can be many things: breakfast room, meeting place, retreat, office, or bar – depending on the time of day, the occasion and the mood.
Lighting and acoustics play a key role. Individually adjustable lights and carefully selected materials create atmosphere and comfort. The open kitchen prepares fresh meals throughout the day, while the restored connection to the roof terrace brings light, openness and flexibility back into the space.
The result is more than just a dining area: "Seven" has become a place of identity and community – efficient like a canteen, but inspiring like a club restaurant.
