The project sits beside Putuo Lakeside Plaza, nestled between mountains and the sea. Guided by the vision of “Coastal Living,” the design draws from the building’s spindle-shaped form and integrates Zhoushan’s unique maritime landscape and fishing-port culture, creating a relaxed yet elegant fusion of nature and contemporary hospitality.
The interiors continue the architecture’s fluidity and lightness, using layered wave forms, rocky textures, and net-like structures to reinterpret local memory. A palette of misty grey, tidal blue, and warm sand establishes a soft and tranquil resort ambience. Public areas emphasize sociability and smooth circulation, opening broad sightlines that frame the sea and create an airy, uplifting atmosphere. Guestrooms feature natural materials, low-saturation hues, and tactile details to evoke ease and comfort, reflecting VOCO’s relaxed yet refined character.
The overall design strikes a balance between international brand standards and the cultural spirit of Zhoushan, presenting an island hotel that blends business-leisure appeal with natural sensibility and contemporary expression.
