The design of this 176-key hotel transforms the spirit of Antwerp’s Zurenborg district into a contemporary hospitality experience. Inspired by the neighbourhood’s Art Nouveau architecture, the interior distills characteristic curves, ornamental geometry, and expressive colour into a warm, modern design language. The result is a sequence of interconnected spaces: lobby, lounge, bar, restaurant, Corridors, and rooms -unified by sculptural forms, layered textures, and custom detailing. A palette of terracotta, blush, sage, and natural wood creates a residential softness, while elements such as the illuminated bar front, fluted reception wall, and immersive checkerboard restrooms introduce moments of surprise and visual rhythm. Operational strategy shaped the layout: a central service core ensures efficient staffing, and flexible furniture supports all-day functionality, from coworking to social gatherings. Designed as a neighborhood living room, the hotel fosters meaningful interaction between locals and travelers. Artwork by Belgian artists anchors the project in its cultural context, and the inviting atmosphere encourages guests to slow down, linger, and feel part of the community.
