The new design and branding of Flesslers, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel originally constructed for the 1972 Olympics, fuses Seventies glamor, alpine sportiness and the spirit of river rafting, a cultural heritage. Nods to “flesslers”, Old German for raftsmen, are expressed through fluid lines and crafted wooden details, while corduroy textiles, retro illumination and a palette of avocado, russet and ochre evoke an authentic 70´s spirit. In the bar & grill Nepomuk, named after the patron saint of raftsmen, a sculptural light installation undulates above a curved counter, draws guests inside the restaurant. On the newly built upper level, Echo Rooftop Bar transitions effortlessly from ski-chalet cool to a late-night disco vibe, with vinyl records, mirrors, twinkling lights, and terraces offering panoramic mountain and river views. Public washrooms embrace feel-good nostalgia through groovy wallcoverings and tiles, while guestrooms invite warmth and coziness with 70s-inspired FF&E. A new extension accommodates high-quality staff housing alongside a flexible events area with hybrid, multifunctional spaces. The project focuses on regional materials, local craftsmanship, and sustainability.
