At Pedro’s Restaurant Los Gatos—a beloved legacy restaurant of over 53 years—the renovation was approached with a deep respect for its soul, aiming not to erase its past but to elevate its experience. The space was transformed with backlit breeze blocks, mahogany panels, modernist wallpaper, and patterned cement tiles, bringing a refined energy to the interior.
The expansive, light-filled two-story entry became a key focus of the design. Relocating the bar to the center and enclosing it with a custom awning introduced a sense of structure within the openness. Booths were arranged back-to-back to maintain flow and openness, while intimate two-top seating framed by buttress walls created moments of privacy without disconnecting from the surrounding energy.
