The organic design for the Commercial Development at Murray Road, in Hong Kong’s financial district, features a lobby suspended above a landscaped garden, Grade A office spaces, a Sky Garden, and the rooftop Skylight Room.
The Skylight Room is a unique event space that can host banquets for up to 500 people, along with fashion shows, product launches and more. It will offer sweeping views of the city skyline.
The top of tower was of special importance in the design of the overall form. Multiple studies articulated the roof structure, as the Skylight Room became the culmination of the building’s curving glass façade.
Since the rooftop is of high aesthetic importance, all services are designed in an integrated manner. The Skylight Room is sheltered by a glass canopy, and systems such as roller blinds and lighting fit within the arches – which can suspend 360? projectors, crystal chandeliers, and even performing acrobats.
Washrooms and kitchens are incorporated with the secondary structure. An outdoor terrace affords spectacular views.
The Skylight Room event experience will begin as guests arrive at a Top of Tower lobby, to ride a lift up and away from the gardens.
