M. Georgina is the third restaurant for Michelin-starred chef Melissa Perello and her first in Los Angeles. Introducing Chef Perello to a new audience imbued the project with a clear purpose: Cultivate the unpretentious yet refined dining experience of her San Francisco restaurants and their signature down-to-earth charm in a new Southern California location. The design team believed that a sophisticated design with all new infrastructure would create a space that complimented the equally exquisite cuisine.
The concept was to combine Nordic principles of simplicity, functionality, and comfort with the endearing personality of a vernacular, French countryside dwelling. Sleek lines, natural materials, and delicate lighting were brought together with warm, rustic accents to create an intimate, relaxed setting. Tonalities were selected for their transformative qualities that could lend themselves to the qualities of both day and night. In the day, natural light provides an open, spacious quality while in the evening, the mood transforms from capaciously jubilance to intimate and comfortable. Whether it be day or night, M. Georgina has become a popular culinary haven.
