SHH’s brief was to propose a unique experience for the Latitude ground floor public areas, restaurant and entrance which spans 27,620 sq ft. The aim was to create a space that would promote the wellbeing of the 2000 staff using the building.
We envisioned a unique hospitality experience in a refurbished 1970’s Parisian tower, for the staff and the tenant guests. The 11-metre Glazed atrium is the focal point of the architectural landscape, our overall design philosophy focused on creating a hospitable environment which would be visible from the offices above and a sculptural focal point at its centre. SHH designed a series of food and Beverage offerings for staff including the atrium, grab and go, the food hall and the brasserie. The performance and flow of each offer was critical in order to engage employees’ day after day and avoid queueing at peak times
The brutal structure of the duel carriageway formed a dynamic streetscape and a visual boulevard which connects all the F&B offers with the office lift lobby at the opposite end. Part way down the Boulevard a linear coffee counter forms a social meeting point and a wine retail, flower and newsagents stall offer items to take away.
