The Tradies Caringbah project drew on a coastal inspiration to create a contemporary, environmentally and family friendly design. The four level project comprised level 3 function room and bar; level 2 food and beverage facilities and kids club; ground floor refurbishment of the bars and gaming area and reception; lobby for a new gym fitout on level 1; and a façade refurbishment.
The project features green walls at the entry, in the bistro through the double height void space of the stair, and wrapping three walls in the event space. These are complimented with an abundance of live plants, so guests can benefit from cleaner air, noise reduction, cooler ambient temperatures, and the calming effects of being close to nature. These plants actively filter out pollutants and humidify the air, reducing the reliance on air conditioning and excessive energy consumption.
The interior design of Tradies Caringbah reflects its coastal location. The colours and finishes are lively, natural and fresh. The palette of materials, textured and tactile surfaces, combined with generous planting, creates spaces that are relaxed, elegant and provides a strong sense of wellness.
