As the brand features an aesthetic of simplicity and promotes “finding beauty in life through the eating experience,” we focus on the texture of elements, setting the stage with natural coatings, wood and foreign furniture to add mixed Japanese and Western flair. Perimeter walls are demolished to create an inviting open yard to the community. Plenty of landscaping and blank spaces highlight the true beauty of this old house, while a desaturated palette allows seasonal change of decor. The moving flows are arranged in accordance with space features, while a fair amount of wood and decors render a sustainable design and sensory experience.
Perspective is applied to create layered scenes; varied materials, objects of different periods and countries and natural light present aesthetic diversity and give each seat a unique atmosphere in hopes that the sensory experience would increase repeat visits and stickiness.
By utilizing the building's features, our design focuses on the nature of the space and the brand. Rather than excessive packaging and overly ornate style, we create inviting imagery while giving this Restaurant a better sense of community and a connection to the locale.
