The Marriott Dallas Uptown, located in Dallas, Texas, USA, is a 14-story, 255-room hotel that opened in January, 2021. Known for its eclectic bar and restaurant scene, posh boutiques and vintage trolley, Uptown is a vibrant urban destination. The design concept,
“Modern Urban Style Meets Classic Neighborhood Charm,” invites guests to experience the unique local flavor of Uptown Dallas. The Marriot Dallas Uptown was designed to elegantly integrate into its location through walkable street access, local materials and artwork, and a connection to the surrounding landscape. The warm color palette draws from nature, with warm browns, soft grays, olive green, rusty red, cream and white. Behind the lobby’s front desk, an art installation made from locally reclaimed wood depicts bikers and runners along Katy Trail. Small pendant lights above the lobby seating are reminiscent of fireflies one might see on an evening walk on the trail. Above the lobby bar, a dramatic sculptural light installation adds striking visual interest, with a grid pattern reflective of a city map.
