Description:
“Sustainable Suites” as promoted by the owners, are intended as high-end, low maintenance suites to fulfill the owners need to grow and adapt without developing the whole property at once.

The expansion of the Hampton Maid Motel adds 8 new units, (4 suites and 4 single units (Junior Suites)) to an existing, 3rd generation, family run operation that includes 50 seasonal rooms in 5 buildings, a robust Breakfast Restaurant and a Gift Shop. The new units are located on an adjacent 4.8-acre vacant parcel. The 8 units are the first of a phased project that will eventually net 18 new units planned to be implemented over the next 10 to 15 years as the area grows.

Each unit includes fireplace and private outdoor deck. The new units were planned to take full advantage of the southern Shinnecock Bay water views and sunsets. The new buildings were designed to be very efficient and have received LEED Gold certification from the USGBC. The walls are Insulated Concrete Forms (ICF) with a simple stucco finish and rain screen. Roofs are metal skin SIPS, the underside of which is exposed factory painted finish, both inside and outside.
