Thousand-island Lake has many mountains and islands of different shapes and densities. The lake is open, deep and vast, just like the sea. The lake bays are quite different in shape and the scenery is splendid and colorful. The region features the historical heritage of more than 1,800 years of Huizhou and Jiangnan culture.

The water system near the project site is mostly meandering along the Thousand-Island Lake (also called Qiandao Lake) in the shape of a feather, injecting into the main lake area from north to south. The overall slope is large, the mountains are steep, and the red line is irregular. The buildings built on upland stress the integration of buildings and the valley. After systematical site study from slope, orientation, vegetation and water, the architects finally present a naturally growing settlement with the principle of "nature", achieving "reality in emptiness, emptiness in reality, hidden or exposed, shallow or deep".
