In the heart of vibrant Chiang Mai, beside the serene Mae Ping River, Anantara Chiang Mai Resort is a luxury retreat of contemporary, Thai and colonial style.

84 Sleekly designed rooms and suites are housed in an elegant modern building of wood and expansive glass. Private balconies and terraces feature a double daybed overlooking manicured grounds, the colonial house or river. Inside, sunlight streams through floor-to-ceiling windows, illuminating contemporary décor, stylish furnishings and neutral hues, accented by local artifacts. 52 Deluxe Rooms provide 50 square metres of well-appointed space, with a sumptuous bedroom adjoining a bathroom that features a rain shower and deep terrazzo tub with retractable doors to open up the space and view. 32 Kasara Suites boast 105 square metres of space, including a lounge and dining area, a large open plan bathroom and upgraded amenities such as Bose entertainment and JURA Swiss brand coffee machine.

Reimagining its time as the British consulate with a surreal concept of British secret intelligence, the splendid century-old colonial house is The Service 1921 Restaurant.

The resort’s 84 rooms and suites are housed in a low-rise building wrapped around a garden courtyard. With sleek contemporary design by Kerry Hill Architects, each boasts a feeling of space and serenity. Suites are exceptionally luxurious, with open living spaces and upgraded amenities. The heart of the resort dining experience lies in the magnificent 100-year-old heritage house that was formerly the British consulate.The resort’s 34-metre swimming pool fronts the Mae Ping River, a serene setting for relaxation.
