Providing an atmospheric and immersive all-day drinking and dining destination for the iconic British bar and restaurant brand, The Alchemist, the new refurbishment has seen a fascinating concept being creating in line with the client’s new direction, drawing inspiration from the origins of the universe.
The design – influenced by the search for the elixir of life and humanity’s continual fascination with our own origins and the subsequent exploration of the universe – references rich colours created through supernovas and swirling gasses, intertwined with the patterns and forms of orbital pathways of planets.
Stepping into The Alchemist, the narrative is ever present, from carefully curated astronomical inspired lighting and the bespoke half-crescent marble-effect drinks ledge to the female toilets - a representation of fragments floating in space as a result of an exploding supernova.
Building upon the very essence of what The Alchemist represents – a brand that is renowned for its ingenious menu and theatrical food and drink displays, a successful transformation of the space has injected a new lease of life to interiors whilst evolving the core DNA of this immersive brand.
