They come to a city that delivers, yet promises nothing; for their own reasons, to gain amazing experiences or escape bad ones, bringing with them layered souls that enrich the city. They come with impactful memories gathered. They come with history, passion, tenacious intention. They bring worn leather, tarnished silver, frayed jeans – all patinas of meaningful stories - places.
Fraye was one of them - this is her story. Disillusioned with her town, she sought relevant change. Her unconventional ways drove her, to boldly step into the fray - in her graceful disregard for the expected, she saw what others did not, and ultimately found herself.
The centerpiece at the bar features two pairs of horns, majestic in scale, representing her guttural drive. She’s not afraid to lock horns if the need arises – she’s perfectly comfortable in her posture, secure in her own skin, quietly defiant, undeterred by social norm.
Her travels through Tennessee led her here. She assembled along the way – memories, artifacts, smells and textures. Cast iron and velvet, raw hide and bronze, gunmetal black with a light coat of oil. The assemblage is her hope, her dream of an unapologetic journey.
