An historical building in South London that occupies a rooftop area with views that overlook the city. In contrast to its urban surroundings, the design intention was to create a colorful installation that created a huge contrast to the saturated views.
There is a creative freedom within this space. Each season having the opportunity to reimagine the bar area and create a new experience.
Season one, the space was inspired by geometric shapes, neon lights and a punch of 80's symmetry. Season 2 saw a complete transformation from summer to winter where the sides of the bar were built up, rich reds and oranges were used to create a cosy winter hub. The introduction of a pergola was imperative to the space, not only for dressing & lighting but the functionality of the space - sheltering guests from the London rain.
Season 3, captured a tropical oasis, dressed with florals above your head and under your feet. With its boho style furniture, rugs and colour it made for a vibrate and welcoming environment for all. The space isn't made for luxury, it was designed in a way that locals would feel comfortable and "cool" and create a new place to experience in London each summer.
