For Dock 72, a new coworking and event space, the design team immersed themselves in the property’s vibrant surroundings and were deeply inspired by the area’s historic spirit of innovation and creative collaboration.
The team provided interior architectural, FF&E, accessory selection, and art curation services for the building’s 35,000 SF of high-end amenity spaces including two bar-and-lounges, a juice bar, spa, gym, café, and a food market.
This project epitomizes the union of beautiful design informed by a rich local history and innovative revitalization. The design approach afforded an opportunity to comment on the idea of commerce combining both land and sea, tying it to the storied history of the Brooklyn Navy Yard's role as an industrial economic powerhouse.
Situated on the top floor of the building is a large multipurpose space that accommodates nearly 200 people that can be divided into three smaller spaces. The floor also features conference breakout areas and a bar and lounge space, all with stunning Manhattan views.
The warm and inviting amenities are available for use by commercial tenants within the building as well as for rent through a hospitality company.
