In order to create a spiritual environment that inherits the cuckoo style, the designer of this project will remodel and perfect the natural components of Bijie. The city’s cultural history of tenacity and adaptability is explored through mountains and rivers, and an immersive experience of folk practices is developed to represent a leisure and resort hotel.
The overarching concept develops the project’s central image, “Rhododendron”, from the standpoint of enhancing local cultural icons in accordance with the physical features of the surrounding area. Taking “flower” as the inspiration for the design, the design team aim to convey the amazing development of Bijie and stir up people’s desire for a better life.
As for the interior, the designer uses earth tones, and the use of natural materials that change with the passage of time creates a visually soothing environment that encourages both physical and mental relaxation. In order to create a warm environment and interpret subtle texture in details, the designer takes advantage of contemporary and straightforwardly beautiful design principles.
