Urban regeneration - In search of 'Slow Living.'

Injecting new life and modes of living with a private residents club crowning the 27-storey Venture apartment overlooking the sea beyond Hong Kong's Kai Tak ferry terminal is an excellent opportunity.

The central idea was to combine a tropical vibe with the sense of being on a cruiser liner - strictly avoiding any sense of Bling - to create a coherent composition of interiors with meticulously tuned aesthetics and atmospheres.

The Club Cruiser looks like a spaceship landed on top of the building. Inside, looking out to the sea, you could imagine touching down somewhere like Phuket. The interiors give the feel of a private resort floating above Kai Tak, and the interiors are connected with nature rather than the city below.

The Club Cruiser is relatively narrow. To create a sense of greater width and to 'decompress' the internal spaces, large glazed up-and-over doors between the bar area and the pool are introduced to effectively create one big open-air social space.

The residents are encouraged and drawn to this rare top-floor clubhouse cruiser, where Slow Living is curated, away from the buzzing urban lives below.
