Located in the heart of Downtown Atlanta on a site that was once a First Methodist Church in the 1800’s, the Candler Hotel Atlanta is a nod to the city’s rich industrial history and craftsmanship. The hotel honors its past by retaining the original building’s iconic lobby and Beaux-Arts architectural details.

Combining modern interpretations with classic pieces, the goal was to create comfortable spaces where guests can feel at home. The 265 guestrooms and suites feature white walls, paneled trim, custom floral drapery by Swavelle, and a rich array of art and photography. Custom Lighting by HB Lighting illuminate the featured details and paneled trim around the guestrooms.

Inspired by Atlanta’s local flora and fauna and hospitality in the South, elements of marble, brass, and custom oak parquet wood floors are throughout the space. The building’s historic marble friezes inspired the design of each meeting room, channeling themes of Agriculture, Literature, Astronomy, Drama, and Music. The reception desk features a custom designed panel inspired by the design of the historic First Methodist Church.
