Following a two-year full closure and renovation, the public areas and F&B offers at Anantara Nice Plaza are sensitive to the building’s architecture and prime Nice waterfront location. Luxurious and unusual materials are strategically placed at key touch points and high-traffic areas for most effect. For example, as the first space hotel guests arrive to when checking into the hotel, the reception features custom art pieces by Saul Cathcart and Jude Cassidy, which inject layers of colour and texture to the space.
Interiors are architecturally stripped back, with classical forms treated in contemporary ways. Stucco plaster finishes, limed oak and natural stone are layered with unique materials and unexpected injections of colour via bespoke artwork. Objet, furniture and lighting in organic shapes reference boats, shells and the sea’s waves - inspired by the Hotel’s iconic waterfront location. A neutral palette is punctuated by an unexpected use of colour, with green upholstery and colourful largescale art pieces.
