Concept:
Tanzanians are artful storytellers; their history is more shown and symbolized than written, preserving age old customs and beliefs through their stories. With a deep appreciation to their land’s resources and landscape, this culture signifies the use of illustrious symbols from their abundant surroundings.
It’s inhabitants are descendant from 120 ethnic groups which makes it such a rich culture.
The design celebrates an incredibly diverse culture, whimsical art, wildlife and nature references drawn from the ethnicity of
Zanzibar. Crafting these tribal tributes in a modern design sense is the intent. Which compliments the roots of the location and communicates it to the guests of L’Oasis.
The space is also meant to be, as the name, an ‘Oasis’ of tranquil sanctuary. Using the layouts to allocate quiet zones for the guests to find the moment to connect with the cultural elements and surrounding views.
