The university experience of foreign students is influenced by the academic campus and their residences, because in these places they spend most of their time. It’s considered of great importance for the good development of their identity, their independence, their social ties and interaction, among others.
This project proposes a residence for college students which responds not only to the demand generated by the UDEM .The importance of the project lies in offering economically accessible, functional, comfortable, spacious and safe places, close to the university. The project aims to show the creation of community, integration and social interaction venues, especially for young students where they feel safe and in contact with their environment.
The objective of this research is to develop a design proposal for a multifunctional complex located in Plaza Nativa, a project that promotes the creation of a community through the configuration of space, respond to the growing demand for accommodation by presenting an opportunity for housing, personal development and recreation, and reuse Plaza Nativa to offer the community a space that enables the appropriation of it.
