Inspired by 'Mother Earth', the designer transformed the newly opened restaurant, Mother, using earth elements like soil, stones, minerals, and organic matter. Located in Bangkok's historic Taladnoi neighborhood, Mother welcomes guests with a humble wooden stamped concrete facade and a warm wooden frame entrance.
Inside, the natural wooden floor, off-white wooden stamped concrete walls, and specially designed transparent roof create a refreshing and comfortable space. Sunlight filters through randomly opened ceiling boards, casting shadows that mimic the feeling of sitting under a tree.
The open kitchen, positioned in the center of the first floor, allows guests to connect closely with the origins of each dish through direct interaction with the chef, highlighting the heart of Mother—the food's prosperity.
Passing through the open kitchen, dimmer lighting guides attention to the second floor. With a subtle yet mysterious ambiance, the second floor functions as a bar, adorned with darker-toned furniture. The art piece 'Four Elements' behind the bar counter emphasizes Mother's connection to the origin of the earth, revealing the story behind the restaurant.
