Sam's Waterside
Sam’s Waterside restaurant is a sister site to well-respected Sam’s Riverside (Hammersmith).
The interior embodies an evolution of the original much-loved concept. Inspired by the locality, a dichotomy of rich history and urban regeneration, the design is influenced by the juxtaposition of old meets new, celebrating the backdrop of the historical industrial architecture, with the imprint of the contemporary Brentford development that is set to regenerate the area.
A seated island bar creates an energetic focal point upon entering, with the open kitchen pass offering an exciting glimpse of the culinary action. Curated seating arrangements provide different dining options, with bi-folding doors wrapping around two sides, connecting the guests with the lush planting on the terrace and the natural waterside of the River Brent.
Delicate design features, such as the blush pink seating, bespoke art deco pendant lights and curated dried flowers artfully soften the space as a contrast to the industrial aesthetic, where intentionally oxidized corten steel, raw concrete tones and rough plaster are creatively used in the finishes and framework as a nod to the local manufacturing history.
