To stay relevant, department stores need to cater to the changing needs of their customers and communities, necessitating a new approach to enhance customer experience by integrating services and spaces for socialization, accommodation, relaxation, and nutrition, transforming department stores into destinations. Rich’s is rooted in a distinctive business model that draws inspiration from European precedents and integrates the quality of timelessness as an additional source of value. Adhering to the ‘Luxury for Revitalization’ framework, the concept and design revolve around history, location, meta-luxury, authenticity, identity, space, and aesthetics holistically. Guests are welcomed in the grand room, which houses a central bar and lounge seating for guests; the Magnolia Room is positioned to the west; the lower level houses a fine grocery complete with a bakery, cafe, meat and seafood sections, select items, spirits and wine, coffee bar, confectionary, oyster bar, champagne and caviar bar, and meat bar.
