Epicurus believed “pleasure is the greatest good”. Thus, the Epicurean hotel is a sanctuary for foodies with amenities that quench thirst for culinary experience and satisfy hunger for cuisine knowledge. A food-forward experience begins at check-in which occurs at an extension of the restaurant’s bar. The color palette evokes tones of oatmeal, fig, wild rice, caramel, and honey in patterns inspired by pastries and water rings left by drinking glasses. Custom door hardware for the ballroom is shaped like wine bottles and bacon press door pulls lead into the Culinary Food Theater. Cloche and decanter inspired light fixtures punctuate the elevator lobbies and accent walls crafted of used wine crates announce the level’s name each after a specific wine varietal. Touch points echo the theme with materials such as the cork in the elevator cab and guest room entry sign and the butcher block surfaces in the guest room. A full immersion into a food and beverage experience mixed into a hotel where guests are welcomed to relish the flavors that life offers and enjoy a sensory-driven hospitality experience. Epicurean Atlanta opened in September 2021 at an approximate cost of $51.3 million.
