Goldies brings the vibrance and opulent glamour of old Hollywood to the W Hotel. Soft warm hues and golden colorways embue the space with a distinct feeling reminiscent of the Hollywood Hills as the sun begins to cast its final glow on the city, an atmospheric phenomenon signature to Los Angeles. Moody and dark, the space exudes the opulent charm of the post modern era.
Integrated indoor and outdoor motifs open the space and create a distinctly relaxed California feeling as the breakfast dining room seamlessly flows into the outdoor patio, complementing the formality of the space. Drawing inspiration from Venus, the Goddess of love, sex, beauty and fertility, the cafe's graphic shapes and clean lines are softened by feminine curvature lending a sense of romance. Diffused backlit screening systems offer light reflectance and refraction, translated through multiple surfaces. Key design features include a marble counter and color drenched mustard yellow mid-century velvet chairs juxtaposed with soft curvature, both custom. Bespoke globe pendant chandeliers, custom banquettes, handmade Zia tiles, brass elements and lush greenery add to the cafe's coastal Hollywood glam aesthetic.
